Faking a fireplace mantle

I don’t have a fireplace in my living room, although I do have one in the basement.
I used my cubby bookcase as one instead.

Improvise and use what you got :) I’m still working on what to do with the cubbys.

  2. I just love those chairs Mel ;) And those pillows....Mmmmmmmm

I like the idea of the "makeshift" fireplace mantle. I have a bookshelf I want to use when we move. I would do it now but I have a fish tank I have to get rid of first. Cant take the fish with us, I am secretly excited to get rid of them. They are hubbys, and I end up cleaning and doing the maintenance of them. He just likes to feed them I think :)

Love the purse in the previous post. Its Fab ;) I to, have a love of purses. I have about 12 I rotate them here and there. It kinda funny, my fav one is a gucci knockoff I got in Rome :) hehe

  7. Great idea! I'm sure once you figure it out, it will look great. I say throw some Halloween in there. I so live by the use what you got motto!

Oh I'm a purse freak myself, so I agree with doing a little touch-up! Cute find and free spray paint, awesome!

  8. I like it, that's a really good idea I'm gonna have to try that. I love mantles but my current house does not have one. I love your chairs by the way.

I had to do a standing ovation when I realized I was your 101th follower, yay! I almost heard applause behind me.

Hope you have a wonderful day!
